Las Vegas Casinos Operates In Full Capacity From June 1, Hiring Is At The Peak

Nevada casinos are opening in full capacity from Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Boyd Gaming in Las Vegas is going to hold its fourth job fair to hire employees soon for the operation.

Other casinos in Las Vegas are also continuing their hiring process to work smoothly in full capacity after a long time.

The fourth job fair by Boyd Gaming will be held on June 10, 2021. According to the Las VegasJournal, the upcoming job fair will hire employees for the company’s quick food services.

Boyd Gaming owns several casinos and resorts in Southern Nevada, which also includes a Casino in Downtown Las Vegas and Fremont Hotel.

Some Boyd’s resorts in downtown Las Vegas, like Main Street Station Casino, Hotel and Brewery have not yet reopened because of the state-wide pandemic restrictions in March 2020. Governor Steve Sisolak allowed the casinos to begin their operations in a limited capacity from June 2020.

Starting Tuesday, All casinos are allowed to operate in full capacity for the first time since Covid-19 hit the state. Some casinos are already working in full capacity based on their vaccination goals.

Boyd Gaming spokesperson, David Strow, said to the newspapers, “Hiring is certainly one of our biggest challenges right now, but we have been able to find quality candidates. ”

Assistant professor of hospitality at UNLV, Amanda Belarmino, said, “The difficulty in finding employees is to be expected. Several former casino employees may have moved on to other occupations, or may have relocated.”

The unemployment rate in the area was 34.2% at one point last year, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. Las Vegas was reported as the worst state in the country for unemployment considering it is a metropolitan area with a population of more than one million.

However, early this year, Las Vegas seemed to renounce, supported by the nationwide rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine and increased in by the number of tests.

The hiring trend going in Southern Nevada indicates that the state’s economy is rising up again.

Belarmino said, “It is a very good sign that we have made such a rapid economic outbreak. ”

Other casinos situated in Southern Nevada also held multiple job fairs and are still continuing to hire eligible and talented candidates.

Golden entertainments have offered on the site hiring and $500 as a bonus for the positions. The firm holds several pubs and casinos in Southern Nevada, which includes the Strat Hotel, Casino, and Skypod in Las Vegas.
