87-million-dollar expansion completed at Rivers Casino

Rivers Casino Des Plaines celebrated the installation of the final structural steel beam during a topping-off ceremony on Monday. The groundbreaking milestone was marked by local officials, members of the building trades, and casino executives.

There will be an events ballroom, a poker room, additional slots, and a new restaurant included in the $87 million expansion of the Rivers Casino. A total of 2,000 gambling positions will be available in the casino, the maximum permitted by state law.’

Corey Wise, senior vice president, and general manager of Rivers Casino said that the property will offer more dining options, more entertainment, and the region’s best poker room.

Two phases of the expansion will take place. During the winter, the first edition will be the new restaurant and expanded gaming floor for slots and table games on the ground floor.

The second level will include live entertainment, a 10,000-square-foot ballroom, and 22 poker tables.

On the north side of the property of the Rivers Casino, at 3000 S, between the existing casino building and the recently expanded parking garage, will be the new space. It runs along the river.

For the expansion, the casino is hiring 400 employees, including 250 table game dealers.

In Indiana, there are Casino investments on the rise as well.
